In 36 years of practice, he has tried literally thousands of cases from murders to DUIs in Washington County; in the Circuit, District, and Juvenile courts.

Brian’s vast experience includes both criminal and civil trials in Washington, Frederick, and Montgomery Counties. He has served as a prosecutor in three counties while also being the former District Public Defender for Washington and Frederick Counties. Along the way, he helped create and run a juvenile drug court. Moreover, he has trained countless defense attorneys, state’s attorneys, and police officers.

Mikhaila is a standout trial attorney in Washington County. She is renowned throughout the legal community for her demonstrated skills in the courtroom. Since 2019 alone, she has successfully defended clients in murder trials, rape trials, assault trials and many others. She is a polished, respected, professional presence in the community.

Mikhaila graduated with honors from Howard University, one of the nations foremost Historically Black Colleges; and also possesses her juris doctorate from Howard University. She is a member of the Maryland Bar and the Washington County Bar. She is a Maryland resident with recognized ties in the community, including her demonstrated commitment to charitable causes in Washington County. Moreover, she contributes her time to Hagerstown Pro Bono clinics and local philanthropic organizations. She speaks at recovery and substance abuse centers in Hagerstown. It has also been her passion to train her fellow attorneys in trial practice and the Maryland Rules of Evidence. High School students and law enforcement have also benefited from her teachings.
